CONDITIONS OF RENTAL
Boarding Information
Rental begins between 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon on the first day. Houseboats are due back between 12:00 noon - 3:00 p.m. on the last day. Expect to spend at least one hour for check-in and one hour for check-out.
Optional Pre-Boarding Program
For only $125.00, this option allows you to board your houseboat the evening prior to your scheduled departure date. Features are:
- Boarding times between 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (or when your boat is fully serviced).
- Less expensive than hotel/motel lodging for several people.
- May give you the opportunity to start paperwork, captain's lesson and familiarize yourself with your houseboat. In the morning when everything is completed, you will be able to depart as soon as you receive your instructions on boat handling and operation.
Reservations
Reservations will be confirmed upon availability of requested dates and receipt of a reservation deposit of $500.00, per houseboat, payable by cash, cheque, Visa or MasterCard. A Charter invoice will be sent to acknowledge receipt of your $500.00 reservation deposit and to confirm your charter dates and balance of payment due. No reservation can be made to persons under the age of 21.
Payment of Charter
The balance of the charter fee, plus tax, is due 30 days prior to departure. If payment is not received by that date, the company reserves the right to cancel the charter, WITHOUT NOTICE. The total charter payment is due and payable if booked within the 30 day period.
Cancellation
If the reservation must be cancelled, the Client is to notify the company immediately. The reservation deposit will be refunded (less $250.00 facilitation fee). If the reservation is cancelled within 16-30 days prior to departure, the $500 is non-fundable, but all other payments will be refunded. If the reservation is cancelled less than 15 days prior to departure, no payments will be refunded.
Damage Deposits & Fees
At check-in you will be offered two options for covering physical damage of the houseboat and related equipment:
- Option #1 - Pay a damage deposit reduction fee of $25/day plus applicable taxes (non-refundable) and provide a reduced damage deposit of $500
- Option #2 - Do not pay a damage deposit reduction fee and make a damage deposit of $2,500.00
Damage deposits do not include propeller damage or replacement, service calls to rectify the same or fuel used during these calls.
Other Important Information
- Your rental price does not include items such as taxes, fuel + damage deposit reduction fees.
- In co-operation with Saskatchewan Environment & Resource Management, Eagle Point Resort has developed the policy that absolutely no firearms are allowed on the houseboats.
- Note that firebans may be in effect during your stay. Contact the base daily for fire reports.
- You can purchase your fishing licence upon arrival at our Marina. A Lac La Ronge Lake Endorsement is also available free of charge.
